TMS Outage Sparks Frustration Among Investors as Data Hub Issue Halts Trading

Investors in the Nepalese capital market faced unexpected disruptions as the Trade Management System (TMS) encountered technical difficulties, rendering online trading inaccessible.

According to a notification issued by technical support provider Yco, the disruption stems from a technical issue with the Data Hub, which has kept the TMS offline since yesterday.

"Due to an issue with the Data Hub, TMS has not been working since yesterday. We are currently coordinating with the Data Center team to identify and resolve the issue," the statement read. "We will inform you as soon as we receive any further updates. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation."

The system failure has drawn sharp reactions from market participants, with several investors expressing anger over repeated technical glitches that affect regular trading operations on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

Technicians are currently collaborating with the data center engineers to restore network connectivity and system operations. Further updates regarding system restoration and the resuming of market activities are awaited.
